Tips to survive the silly season

The key to a great festive season is to indulge a little....but not too much! Follow these 5 tips to ensure you have fun without suffering the after affects of overindulgence:

1. Drink plenty of water, especially when drinking alcohol. Try to alternate every alcoholic beverage with water.
2. Exercise in the morning, and have a healthy breakfast. Then you know you’re off to a great start, and can relax for the rest of the day.
3. Have a light, healthy meal before attending parties or functions. This way you’re less likely to overindulge in unhealthy snacks.
4. Treat yourself occasionally; enjoy those delicious Christmas treats in moderation, so you don’t feel you’re missing out.
5. If you do overindulge one day, don’t despair! Just get back on track tomorrow.
