Signs of magnesium deficiency

CAPTION: November 2020

Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays an important role in the health and function of our muscles. Signs of magnesium deficiency include muscle cramps and spasms, tics and twitches, tremors, and muscle weakness [1]. The demand for magnesium increases as physical activity levels increase. Studies have found that magnesium supplementation can improve performance in both aerobic and anaerobic exercise. This is mediated through improved energy production, increased glucose delivery to muscle cells during exercise, and reduced lactate accumulation [2]. A magnesium supplement specially formulated to support muscle health may be beneficial in improving your exercise performance.
